Angelenos are notorious for taking the beach for granted, and I can't say that I'm much different. Though I'm a lover of summer and water and sun, I'd rather not deal with the commute nor the parking issues that a day at the beach bring about. 

Luckily, the metro extension by my place now goes all the way to downtown Santa Monica, so you best believe I'll be hitting up the hot sand much more often. 

This look was shot a few days ago, on a lovely lazy beach day. After a yummy meal at Tacos Por Favor (inexpensive; Chile Relleno burito highly recommended), spending time laying around and reading near the seashore was incredibly relaxing. The jacket, a favorite (as seen here and here) was great for after-hours, when the wind can get to be a bit much. 

Hold up, though - let's talk about co-ords for a second. They're not as trendy as they used to be, but man are they versatile! This set is so adorable and works so well together - not to mention the pieces can also be worn separately. What a deal!
