Being on my feet for 8 hours a day at work makes it difficult to give up on comfort- resulting in a current tight-knit relationship with my comfiest jeans and workout shoes (so happy athleisure is still in)! But, as appreciative as I am for the basic cotton tees and skinny jeans that sustain me 4 days a week, they're just not me. 

I've always been one to maintain that clothing is a direct representation of my general personality as well as day-by-day moods and feelings, but until the other day when I put this outfit on, I didn't fully understand the extent of that statement. This look was my go-to for a sunny spring date day, and the moment I put it on, everything changed. 

My attitude was probably as bright yellow as this beautiful bodysuit (which I've owned since last summer but never found the right occasion to wear), and the flower bomber jacket was like a slap in the face: WAKE UP GIRL IT'S ACTUALLY SPRING! 

I'm grateful for this beautiful spring weather. Grateful for bright mood-lifting colors. Grateful to be able to express myself through the fun medium that is fashion!

My favorite Romanian holiday is March 1st. As a celebration of the beginning of spring, people give each other tiny gifts with a white and red bow made of string called martisor and little snowdrops. In elementary school, it was the best day of the year- all the boys would put together money and get the girls martisoare. There was no discrimination or crush-based gift giving; every girl was equal. 

The color scheme of these photographs reminds me of the holiday. Although there's no red in sight, the white top and green background scream 'snowdrops' and 'spring.' And with the coming of this new season, my soul is ready to celebrate.

So far, by celebrate, I mean take new photos for my LinkedIn. I'm ready to take the LA full-time employment marketplace by storm, and what better way to start than with a fresh and crisp LinkedIn update? This look made me feel like myself again- comfortable, at ease, a bit girly. My boyfriend described this look as cute but edgy (because of the see-through material) and as far as my style goes, that's probably the best descriptor. Although I've been trying to avoid looking any younger than I am, I can't help but be drawn to girly prints and silhouettes- the edginess just balances them out so perfectly. And okay, I know I'm wearing a Kardashian Kollection top, but how cute is it?!? Gotta give credit where credit is due.

The moment we hit rush hour traffic as we entered LA with my entire life in the backseat of my car, I second-guessed every single reason I wanted to be here in the first place. It's been about a month since the move and for a majority of the time, I was still second-guessing. This weekend, however, everything changed. 

Driving home after a work meeting on the most perfect sunny Saturday morning, something clicked. Maybe it was the empty road that allowed me to detach my focus and take in the Romanian techno blasting through my speakers, or the legendary palm trees paving the sidewalk in perfect formation. Maybe it was the fact that this drive, which I usually experience in the dark after 8 hours of physical drainage, was actually beautiful during the day- but I had no idea. 

That's the day and moment I realized how happy and grateful I am to be here; in this beautiful, overwhelming city that oftentimes strikes the wrong chord with many of its newbies. The rest of the day only reinforced my revelation; it was date day in Echo Park, where we rented a boat, pedaled our way around the lake and entertained ourselves with books from the temporary Floating Library. We ended the day with inexpensive Cuban food from La Caridad, an authentic restaurant which I wholeheartedly recommend. 

And here I stand, thinking of so many reasons I want to be here (aside from a boyfriend conveniently located right by my side). Because being young in this city, near this energy and variety of people, culture and cuisine- it's a pretty sweet deal.

Once upon a time, the owner of this here blog was done with all her final exams and relaxed at home for a week after a pretty stressful semester. Then, she headed to Los Angeles for the summer and decided it was time to blog full-force again! 

Here we have the first product of this decision- admittedly a bit below the requirements for the night's temperature. The day had been sunny and beautiful, so how could I even imagine that anything beyond a light jacket would be necessary? But here and behold, come evening, it was freezing {insert body anatomy}. Well played, LA, well played.

These sandals have been on replay lately- one of my most recent purchases from Ross. Not a huge fan of the store these days, but their shoe game has been really on point lately. I was in need of new summer footwear and these go with most outfits I own.

Well, folks, here you have it. Probably the most experimental photography you will ever see on Fashamorphosis, courtesy of my sweet boyfriend. These photos were taken out in Los Angeles, upon our return from our 3 year (!!!) anniversary dinner celebration- a wonderful feast where we stuffed our faces with stuff like grilled octopus. I know, we fancy. 

This outfit is such a classic old-school Ada look- a mix of stuff from the thrift store, garage sales, my mom's closet (#sorrynotsorry) and a bit of Romanian flair. I think the item worth highlighting here is this beautiful body-skimming little black dress. Who would've known the perfect LBD is hiding in none other than the local thrift store? Of course, I've got my momma to thank for that one, although there's no surprise there. 

I've got a grand total of 7 days to go in terms of this semester (the weekend doesn't count) and I couldn't be happier to get it over with. 4 finals. 3 group projects. 26 hours of work. I can do this. I WILL do this. But don't worry friends, I won't forget you here on the blog, because this little corner of heaven the internet is the only thing keeping me sane right now.

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing two of my favorite items, which happen to be old and somehow not presented on the blog as of yet. Actually, I lie. I've rocked the dress before during my first attempt to take my own blog pictures (see here). The shoes, however, I've hidden from the world very well.  I got these while thrifting my freshman year of college, after roommate observed how 'me' they were. I love them so much that I took time to fix the heel when they got worn out! 'Tis a gesture I've only ever imitated with my maxi dresses by shortening them for a better fit. Taking time out to customize my purchases is the best way I know to show my love towards them.  Currently I'm chilling at home for spring break after a short trip to Vegas with my roommies. With a little over a month left to go, I'm so close to summer and it's both terrifying and exciting to me! I still have so much planning to do for this summer, but everything will be worth it.
