Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing one of my winter break outfits. I wore this for a stroll downtown with my little brother and boyfriend- a comfy little number for wandering around different stores. The earrings are one of my favorite finds- from the cheap jewelry store in Las Cruces (Eve's). I got them for a dollar and they're just precious!

Also worth noting are the leggings, which I've been wearing an obscene amount lately (mostly because nothing else fits me after the Christmas/New Year's Eve feast). Not to worry though, now that I'm back at school I'm definitely working on that.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope everyone has a happy and healthy new semester!

Hello, everybody!

Well, here it is: the first outfit post of 2015! I have a bunch of stuff lined up for the blog this month, but I thought it would be appropriate to start off with the New Year's Eve outfit! I celebrated with my family and boyfriend at the parents' house, after realizing that the cold in Downtown San Antonio was not something we wanted to deal with- neither was trying to find a hotel room super last minute.

Speaking of super last minute, I had no idea my 'rents would be into dressing up for the occasion, therefore this is the result of me quickly pulling out stuff from the clothes I had left at home and creating an outfit in 5 minutes. I suppose it wasn't too shabby. I got the LBD at the Hollywood H&M for (NO JOKE) 5 bucks. The catch is that it happened forever ago- remember when you could walk into a store and buy incredibly inexpensive items rather than pretending that a $15 (orig. $16.99) item is a good sale? Yeah, me neither.

A special shoutout is in order for this garage sale'd shiny set that I've been unable to get enough of lately! Thanks for that one, mom!

And thank YOU for stopping by my blog today! :)

Posting these pictures is breaking my heart right now. I was doing so well with the nice, fancy background photos! Alas, with school taking over, it's difficult to find someone willing and able to spare a few moments in the name of fashion personal style photography.

This is my first time taking the tripod/self timer combination out for a spin, so bear with me. I was a bit iffy about posting today due to the photography quality (focusing the damn thing and finding an empty-ish background in my room have proven to be quite challenging). However, this is one of my favorite outfits I've worn all semester, so I deemed it worthy of your consideration.

Hope everyone agrees and isn't too offended by my lack of camera-focusing skills!

Hi, everyone!

Just a quick daytime date outfit post here! I wore this out with my boyfriend on a little chocolate date. I'm still getting used to being back in school, not to mention not having a set photographer for my outfit posts, so please excuse my sporadic posts for the time being!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Outfit: Crop Top + Body Chain.

sunglasses: Kenneth Cole Reaction @ TJ Maxx
earrings: Forever21
crop top: Wet Seal
body chain: DIY
shorts: Forever21

This super cute DIY body chain has been, by far, my favorite accessory this summer! I've worn it under a generous cleavage-bearing dress, over my Calvin Klein one-piece, and now, over this adorably simple crop top I purchased at Wet Seal for $3 (!!!).

I believe the beach is one of those places where you should choose your accessories wisely and only stick to a few. Have you ever run into an overly accessorized (think hat + wedges + 1,000 bangles + sunglasses +++) lady on the beach? Surely she didn't leave the best impression behind.

Besides, whether you're just soaking up some rays or engaging in water-related activities, the beach is a place for comfort. The sunglasses are a must no matter what, and the earrings, however large-looking, are airy and comfortable to run around in. The body chain is tight enough that it moves with your body, but lose enough to not make beach activities uncomfortable!

Happy summer days, lovely readers! :)

dress: Forever21
belt: Wet Seal (came with a peplum top)

Slowly, but surely, the weather is becoming bearable and totally appropriate for cute, cheap Forever21 peplum dresses. Throw in a $2 garage sale'd Tommy Hilfiger bag, and you're golden (or rather, oranged). I'm beyond excited for all the prospective outfit combinations that come with the sunny (but windy) weather. Here's to a summer of prints and dresses and shorts and beach bumming. Hope everyone is having a lovely beginning of summer break!

Outfit: Bright Girly Workout Gear.

There's something about spending at least one day taking care of my body that makes me feel so refreshed and invincible. Over the weekend, date day turned into 'let's be cute and active together' day with us braving the mighty rays of sunshine and exploring the basic Hollywood hike for the first time. To top it off, lunch at Lemonade, basically my new favorite place on earth, made us feel like our morning efforts weren't in vain. For about $20, we feasted on kale, chickpeas, pineapple chicken salad (?- don't quote me on that one. It had SOME sort of fancy fruit-chicken combo going on), a sandwich, and of course, a red velvet cupcake (it was tiny, alright?). For anyone salivating after reading that (or not, because my description does NOT do that place justice at all), you can find your new favorite Los Angeles food stop here

Style Tip: Pairing same color family brights is on trend and looks put together when you stick to two or three colors. Playing with top cutout elements will not only give the outfit an aesthetically interesting look, but will also add functionality by helping air out your body throughout the physical activity. Basically, brights + cutouts = recipe for success, at least in my world.
With beautiful weather quickly approaching, I can't wait to leave behind sedentary activities and shower the outdoors with the love it deserves. I have a feeling this summer will be spent in plenty of workout gear.

Thank you so much for stopping by! :)

Since I spend my life running between classes, work, and the gym, dressing up doesn't happen nearly as often as it should. I crave the high school days when I could walk around in my high heels without murdering my feet and dress up just because I could. Of course people still do that on college campuses, but I'll admit I do judge those girls that walk the campus length in high heels (only because I'm jealous of their mad skills).

Since my boyfriend was in town for his spring break, I jumped at the opportunity to dress up for our semi-fancy dinner date. We went out for cheese fondue and dessert, so that called for some really classy sparkly crop top action. While the usual fancy girl uniform consists of a nice dress, crop tops let you get away with wearing pants on a night out, while still allowing for that sexy feminine look through their body hugging form.

Crop tops are incredibly versatile pieces, so there's no wonder they're still in high demand among college students. Even though it is sparkly, my top could easily be recycled for a more casual outfit featuring high waisted jeans, a pair of Converse, a cardi, and a backpack. A lot of stores, such as Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, and Wet Seal, have a variety of crop tops on sale for under $10, so they're definitely a steal. I got a basic blue one at Wet Seal for $3, and I cannot wait to style it and share it with you guys. The possibilities are endless.
