Aww man, I've been waiting for a long time to take this dress out for a spin. I purchased it at Charlotte Russe back in early spring but it's always taken the backseat whenever I chose my outfits. Wait no more, perfect summer dress! I finally value your existence! You know that sarcastic talk in The Devil Wears Prada about florals for spring being groundbreaking. Well, what about florals for summer?!? What do you have to say now,
Meryl Streep Miranda Priestly? The red, white and blue combination doesn't hurt either- all super vibrant colors, but not pulling any patriotic vibes (saving that for the 4th of July).
Now let us talk about these booties. It was love at first sight when I saw them during my work hours and needless to say, they were immediately put on my hold! They've got the 90s grunge look DOWN and paired with the sweet dress, they balance it out perfectly. However, friends, let me show you the pain and suffering that you don't usually see in the personal style blogging world. It's all here- under these Band Aids. I wore these to work the day after I got them and on my lovely stroll down Melrose, it felt like my feet were on FIRE. Luckily I came prepared with comfy shoes and Band Aids, but as soon as I arrived to work I took these babies off to find my back heel covered in blisters that had already popped. Not a pretty sight for the faint of heart, but I'm slowly giving the booties more chances to redeem themselves. The second try (being the day I shot these photos) was a bit better, but we still have a ways to go. I love them too much to give up hope, so you'll be seeing them again as my break-in mission continues!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
