I hunted for that perfect anniversary dress for weeks! Spent plenty'a lunch breaks trying on the prettiest incoming merchandise, and basically anything that came in a bright, eye-catching color. Surprise!
Had just about given up on the damn thing when  my coworker waved this red gem into my face. Sure, it's not unique in style nor is it made of a fancy material, but it felt perfect for me. I've been enjoying clothes that I classify as "architectural," which in my mind equates to strong cutouts and crisp color. This dress has both, and the body-hugging quality of it was just a plus.

My boyfriend loved the fit (as did I), and it seemed perfect for the occasion - a fancy dinner in DTLA. I will say that if you're the kind of person that gets really self-conscious about food babies, this dress is definitely not your jam. In my case, 4 years of relationship make me unfazed at the thought of sharing food babies with bae. Also the oversized blazer helps ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Lately, I've been living for the thin layers of spring. Those warm days where it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket. Any Miss Congeniality lovers out there? No?!?

This outfit is the epitome of the weather - flowers? Check. Springy pastels? Check. Flowy? Check check check. It's also one of those looks where I got lazy with mixing different retailers and just kind of went with all the stuff I bought from work in the past month. Maybe I should get out of the house and discover other stores? Who knows!

All I know is that if I wanted to dress up as Spring for Halloween, I'd slap this look on and call it a day.

Happy almost mid-April folks! Party on.

For some reason, I feel like I'm taking a while to convince myself to explore Los Angeles. My personality is very calculated - I really need to build up to things and make sure I'm 100% ready to venture into them, which weirdly enough goes for my social life as well.

Hence my current relationship with LA - although at this point I'm going into my 3rd month of being here (!!!), there's still so much left for me to discover. I took the first couple of months very slowly- settled into my living situation and my job, got used to the traffic and general feel of being in the big city. But that all left me exhausted and lacking the energy I needed for other things. Being here now, it's too easy to take everything around me for granted and assume that there's all the time in the world to experience the city.

However, the harsh reality is this: you come about youth once in your lifetime, and this life is too short to wait everything out until you're perfectly comfortable. A little chaos never killed nobody, so last night was used as a celebration of youth. I decided (or rather, my boyfriend tempted me by taking on the bar tab) to be a normal 20-something and go out on the town on a Thursday night. And even though today was a workday and even though last night there were dirty dishes in the sink and even though I should've finished my taxes instead, I spent the night enveloped in the happiest feelings in DTLA with my favorite human.

Alright, y'all probably think I'm a bit crazy and overdramatic, but this was really a big event. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've dressed up and gone somewhere outside of work in the past month, so it's just a perfect little feeling! Also any excuse to wear my aunt's vintage gem of a skirt is fine by me!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have an exciting little weekend!

Ever had a difficult time finding what to wear for a currency exchange ordeal at the bank? Well, I have just the outfit for you! In all seriousness, I may have dressed unnecessarily nice for being out of the house for under an hour today, but it felt lovely. The weather was warm and fresh all day and I found myself celebrating it even within my mundane errands.

Spring is such a perfect time for colorful and dainty pieces such as my top. Anyone who knows me knows I live for warmth and color, so today was definitely not a missed opportunity. Isn't it crazy that it's already April?!? I'm absolutely overjoyed!
Thank you bunches upon bunches for stopping by!
