Outfits: Best of 2014: Top 10 Little Brother + Boyfriend.

Jan 5, 2015

Happy 2015, everybody! I haven't been able to humor everybody with my resolutions and goals and yadda yadda,  but I'm barely getting back on track with posting now, since I've been having so much fun in 2015 (Already! This is great!).

2014 hasn't been my favorite- it wasn't especially bad- it was just there. But this time around, I rang into the new year with my favorite people, took little day trips around Texas, and spent plenty of time cuddling with my love. It's already been so much more fun than all of 2014 put together, and the hope is that it will only get better.

As far as resolutions go, as per usual, there are little goals that I'd like to achieve. A summer internship in LA, a completed grad school application, a more fruitful year of blogging, living a healthier lifestyle, finally buying a car and a Mac- all goals that I will be taking on for the new year. The most important goal, however (which I have taken on since the very beginning of the year and it's been going swell) is to let go of expectations and just live. Possibly the toughest, but most rewarding thing I will be focusing on.

Now, I leave you with some 2014 favorites, courtesy of my little brother and my boyfriend. Happy New Year, and here's to all the great moments to come!

Hello, everyone! Normally I'd be a woman of many words, but I'm having too much fun cuddling and exploring with my boyfriend, who's visiting for the week! We explored a bit of downtown Boerne, TX last night, which is where these photos were taken, Such a cute little small town!

As for the outfit, I guess you could consider this to be a part of the 'thrifted' series. I've been obsessively relying on my mall clothes lately, in an effort to better fit into the college environment, I suppose. Coming home has forced me to go back to my garage sale and thrift shop roots, and I've been enjoying it quite immensely.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Good evening, party people! Today I got to spend time in Houston with my parents and some family friends and I thought my outfit looked pretty spiffy. The sweater and skirt are some of the items I left home before going back to school and it was lovely to reunite with them after so many months. The skirt is particularly special, as it was my aunt's when she was around my age (she's in her late 50's now!). I always love myself a good historically significant piece!
One of the newer items featured that I am particularly excited about is this pair of boots from DSW. As mentioned in previous posts, I've been craving a pair of heeled over-the-knee boots like none other! My dream finally came true when I found these babies on sale (for $30!!!). Of course I had to get myself a Christmas present!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a lovely evening! :)
