Though Leo didn't get his MUCH DESERVED Oscar for his stellar performance in The Wolf of Wall Street (seriously, the guy sticks a candle in places where candles shouldn't be), I still appreciated this year's Academy Awards (and so did the pizza guy who got $1,000 in tips and served Julia Roberts).

For once, I had actually seen a decent amount of the nominated movies, so I felt like an informed citizen, rooting for my favorites (ah, the perks of dating a filmmaker!). I'll probably never get over Leo not winning that Oscar, but at least it led to some pretty great memes, such as this gem, borrowed from Twitter:

In terms of fashion, I think my biggest disappointment were the American Hustle ladies. With all the beautiful garments that graced their bodies throughout that entire movie, I just expected the same in real life, I suppose. Amy Adams' dress looked like the safest bet she could have possibly made, and Jennifer Lawrence's look felt like a deja-vu, a baby of her previous Oscars and Golden Globes dresses.

My absolute favorite was Giuliana Rancic's Paolo Sebastian dress, which I would love to get my hands on, broken zipper and all. Cate Blanchett's Armani Prive gem was a close second, though it does not photograph to its full potential. Jennifer Garner's dress seems, in my opinion, severely underrated on best dressed lists, but I've never seen her looking more gorgeous than this! Oscar de la Renta is one of my favorite designers, and the dress has such an innocent, playful Gatsby feel to it! What a dream! My boyfriend was a fan of the Charlize dress, texting me something about how I'd look nice in it. Well, you never know where you might end up one day...

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed the Oscars as much as lucky pizza guy did!

My People's Choice Awards Favorites.

The People's Choice Awards are definitely not the most style impressive celebrity gathering. Tonight, I was disappointed in most of the outfits I saw on the red carpet. I didn't find any of them absolutely disgusting or anything, but as people who have the luxury of putting on basically whatever they feel the need to before an awards show, the celebrities present truly missed the mark.

The red carpet seemed to be all over the place, from too casual to incredibly dressed up. The three celebrities that managed to capture my attention were Naya Rivera, Allison Williams, and Olga Fonda. All three women were able to highlight their bodies without showing too much skin, and were dressed appropriately for the semi-formal awards show.

Rivera was my ultimate favorite, wearing one of the most beautiful high-low color-block dress I have ever seen. I LOVED Allison Williams' dress as well, but the shoes were a bit of a party foul in my opinion. Olga Fonda's look was flawless- she's sporting a major neck plunge AND back cutouts, yet manages to look classy, not skanky.

These are simply my opinions on tonight's outfits. Everyone is entitled to their own.

Thank you for stopping by! :)
