The Most Flattering Bodysuit.

Jul 4, 2017

Woah, can't believe it's already July, let alone the 4th! Can I pass this as my actual OOTD? There are some red accents in there... Of course not, who am I kidding? You can't wear a jacket in LA anymore cause it is fiery hot in here.

I have to admit, these photos were supposed to be posted a good month ago, but between some unfortunate professional setbacks, an impromptu Mexico vacay, an icky stomach bug, and hives (basically just a good week + of my body deciding it hates me), well, I just wasn't having the blog life.

Anyway, shit happens, life moves on, and if I can take it on while wearing two of my favorite reasonably priced summer staples, then who am I to complain?

Friends, behold, the Who What Wear Bardot bodysuit and ALDO mules - my favorite items to latch onto this summer! I tend to take social media promotions with a grain of salt, but when the @whowhatwearcollection Instagram posted a pic, self-proclaiming this baby as the 'Most Flattering Bodysuit,' I somehow caved. And boy, am I glad I did. Seriously guys, buy this. It's flattering. It's versatile. It's trendy. It's not sponsored - although I wish. Hit me up, Who What Wear ;).

Lastly, the mules - I avoided this trend SO much, but I guess it finally got to me. I purchased them on a DSW shoe binge, then came across this Wendy's Lookbook collab showcasing them. And in that moment, I suppose my purchase was validated.

Hope you guys are loving your summer days <3

Casual Gothic.

Oct 8, 2016

My favorite part about the off-the-shoulder look being trendy is being able to find so many takes on it. Back in the 4th grade when I was loving the style the options were so limited, not to mention ill-received by my less wardrobe adventurous peers.

Times are a'changing, though, and I'm definitely taking advantage of the newfound freedom. While unfortunately most off-the-shoulder garments on shelves are the flouncy kind with no type of shoulder support, places like Tobi are there to save me, allowing indulgence in the trend but still making styles that can be rocked by us bustier ladies.

Cropped Flares + Deep V Suede.

Sep 19, 2016

Here it is, folks - me trying to give into trends. Or rather, me getting bored with skinny jeans, coming across this pair of cropped flares at H&M for under 5 bucks (!!!) and deciding to give it a try. I've been looking for the perfect pair of flares for a while now, and since that proved to be an impossible mission (update: found my soulmates @ American Eagle), I decided to give the cropped style a shot.

Interestingly enough, I really enjoy it and find it to be super versatile. I've already tested them out before here and was a fan of the result. The only downside: I really don't think they photograph very well. Unfortunately, neither does the top, but how you feel is 100% more important than how a look photographs. Needless to say, I felt awesome wearing this outfit - using the body chain I accumulated what, 2 seasons ago, gave the look a little spunk/ was a great way to recycle a past 'trendy' item and give it present context.

Hi friends!

Just a quickie post for tonight - time is scarce, but I really wanted to share this look. Cropped flares are one of the trendiest jean styles this summer/fall, and I figured I'd give them a try. Found this pretty pair at H&M for 5 bucks and took it as a sign from the style gods. How do you think I did?

Thank you so much for stopping by!
