One of my favorite memories captured on camera is an Easter photo from back in the day - I must've been 11 or under. It's me and my mother standing in our living room and colliding dyed eggs, an Eastern Orthodox tradition. I was wearing a deep blue long sleeve dress - hitting right below the knee - with red stockings and the most hideous multicolored crochet long vest, which I vividly remember protesting against.

Any picture with an adorably clueless kid is pretty cute, but the real showstopper here was my mom. Tailored striped blazer, nice blouse, mid-thigh skirt with what I assume to be unintentionally hip large-frame glasses and a blonde lob. My jaw drops with pride every time I see that photo.

These days, my mommy still rocks it in the style department. I love the way she's adapted her look to her age and current needs in terms of comfort level and activities. We usually have a very different outlook on fashion - hers a bit more conservative than mine. And sometimes (but really only sometimes), we end up liking the same thing!

In the case of these Blue Spice high-waisted ankle skinnies, not only did we purchase the exact same pair, but we even took a page out of each other's stylebook. I thought it would be fun to showcase an everyday look on both our ends. This time, I ended up being the conservative one, with a simple top which accentuates the outfit's colors and accessories. My mom went to town with the funky prints and colors which perfectly compliment her skin.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
