I've never realized how themed my purchases get when I shop in Romania. Apparently last summer I went all out with my nautical themed clothing. Okay, that may be an exaggeration. It's only two items that I know of, but you can bet that if I look through my things, I'll find even more nautical Romanian purchases that I hadn't realized I owned before. Gosh, the subconscious is a marvelous thing. Maybe it's telling me I should do a semester at sea or something. Or maybe I'm just making pointless college-related connections because I'm in the process of having a mental breakdown since I might change my major from something I love to something I feel blah about. But that's a rant I'll save for a different day.

I've realized I'm not that much of a risk-taker in college when it comes to my outfits, and well, my plans for the summer are to be a bit more stand off-ish, if you will. For now, I'm sticking to a point that my Fundamentals of Fashion professor made: I'm on a college campus, so I don't want to stand out as a 'fashion victim'. And it's true. I see girls walking around in heels-- not wedges, but full on heels, and more sparkle than my poor eyes can handle and I can't help but stare. I guess there's an appropriate time to wear those things, but a Southern New Mexico college campus is just not the place. I hope my little rant isn't too offensive.
