Once upon a time, the owner of this here blog was done with all her final exams and relaxed at home for a week after a pretty stressful semester. Then, she headed to Los Angeles for the summer and decided it was time to blog full-force again!

Here we have the first product of this decision- admittedly a bit below the requirements for the night's temperature. The day had been sunny and beautiful, so how could I even imagine that anything beyond a light jacket would be necessary? But here and behold, come evening, it was freezing {insert body anatomy}. Well played, LA, well played.

These sandals have been on replay lately- one of my most recent purchases from Ross. Not a huge fan of the store these days, but their shoe game has been really on point lately. I was in need of new summer footwear and these go with most outfits I own.

Thank you for stopping by! It's good to be back!

Friends! Romans! Countrymen!

Marvelous news! I am alive and sane (more or less) and still very much enjoy plastering my face and outfits on the interwebz! It's been a long few weeks without outfit documentation, but I'm coming back strong.

And by strong I mean I'm wearing the outfit I very unfortunately wore when my boss decided to send me to a lecture filled with members of the 50+ crowd (and to my delight, the president of the university) so I could snap some pictures for our social media.

While I'm one to usually stand by my fashion choices (and I feel my look so much that I'd probably crop my kid out of the picture and post it on social media), even I have to admit that it was far from being a good moment for me. My favorite part was having to leave in the middle of the lecture and hustle to class- an extra 30 seconds of all eyes on me- great stuff!

Going past that- it's good to be back, and I'm still absolutely in love with this outfit- no matter what my higher-up friends in the university administration care to think.

You do you, college students!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing two of my favorite items, which happen to be old and somehow not presented on the blog as of yet. Actually, I lie. I've rocked the dress before during my first attempt to take my own blog pictures (see here). The shoes, however, I've hidden from the world very well.
I got these while thrifting my freshman year of college, after roommate observed how 'me' they were. I love them so much that I took time to fix the heel when they got worn out! 'Tis a gesture I've only ever imitated with my maxi dresses by shortening them for a better fit. Taking time out to customize my purchases is the best way I know to show my love towards them.
Currently I'm chilling at home for spring break after a short trip to Vegas with my roommies. With a little over a month left to go, I'm so close to summer and it's both terrifying and exciting to me! I still have so much planning to do for this summer, but everything will be worth it.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great rest of your week!

If there's one mall store that I will always stand by, it has to be Charlotte Russe. As with any fast fashion establishment, you really have to pick and choose, making sure your purchase, however inexpensive, will actually get its screen time and not just be a dust magnet. However, there are a lot of hidden gems that I want to love on!

When I went into the store a few weeks ago, they had a great deal on skirts! Although I was tempted to indulge in a lot of cute looks, I left with this babe only, as most of the other ones were too see through, too short, too impractical, etc etc.

I have a long way to go until I achieve the perfect mix of high (and by high, I mean stuff that the everyday middle classer has no issues justifying, but I have to write a one-page list to even think about purchasing) and low, but I'm slowly becoming more aware of how to shop with my brain and not my impulsive emotions.

In other news, huge shoutout to the earrings. They were all the rage for elementary schoolers in Romania back in the day. And yes, I've had them for that long!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Good evening, everyone! How goes it? I just woke up from an unexpected nap, complete with super attractive drooling (a.k.a. I got knocked out without even realizing it cause I had exams two days in a row and was a walking zombie by that point). Now I'm counting down the minutes (55 at press time) until the new Law & Order: SVU episode starts because my habits are really unhealthy, guys.

Today's look is simple and non-fussy and just ready for a long day of school and work. My mom used to do that half ponytail thing to my hair back in the day, and it was feeling very flat the other day, so I decided to go down nostalgia road and pretend I'm 5 again.

I've been meaning to mess around with those super cute socks since I bought them about a semester ago, but it just didn't feel right- until yesterday, that is. These LC Lauren Conrad booties have been worn so much lately on their own, they were just ready for a bit of an update, and Target happily delivered. Overall, I was just in a comfy and cozy state of mind so a comfy and cozy outfit was the way to go!

45 minutes until Law & Order: SVU! Have a beautiful evening, party people!

booties: Charlotte Russe

First off, I'd like to give a super big/huge/massive thank you to my classmate/forever group member/personality soulmate Fernanda for being a dear and taking these lovely photographs on a lovely post-class Tuesday. You da best, gurl!

Secondly, this is an outfit I'd like to call "I can't believe I haven't thrown this out yet!" I've had this hoodie since a very early point in my high school career- maybe freshman or sophomore year. Remember when the store Rave existed? Yeah, it's been that long.

Also a point of reference: it was back when a sale was actually a sale. This hoodie was $5. That's less than a mediocre salad on campus.

And check out those booties! Whoever keeps talking the talk about quality shoes hasn't hit the $25 jackpot with Charlotte Russe yet. I've had these since junior/senior year in high school. I'm a junior/senior (actually) in college now, so they've been around for a while.

Last outfit detail I'm going to bore you with is this body chain. The body chain is one of those trends that I've kind of just adapted into my day to day life and will be sporting even when it stops being popular (same way I feel about ombre hair).

This one in particular rocks my socks off. Except... bought it at Icing for $12, then went to Rue 21 a few weeks later and the exact same one was on the $2 clearance rack. I'm surprised my facepalm didn't leave a mark, honestly.

One last (unrelated) thing. Deciding to post these pictures in their full acneic (probs not a word) glory was a bit of a dilemma. My face is doing significantly better these days, but please just take a moment to appreciate my resisting Photoshop strength.

As usual, thank you so much for stopping by! And remember kids, adult acne is real and it will come haunt you on the brightest of days!
