You know that feeling when you get home after being gone for 10 hours and you just collapse on a bed and binge-watch half a season of One Tree Hill even though by season 8 it's so overdramatic that you're kind of over it?

Yup, me either. Well, then shoot me an email so we can discuss.

In all seriousness, I've just been getting by and enjoying the small wonders of the world, like daily helpings of artisanal ice cream and whenever the number of crazies on the metro happens to be low. Sadly this routine included work days or hella lazy days, so blogging hasn't been a thing. Actually, I don't even think I've opened my laptop for the past week.

But here's a new, long overdue post. These photos are a couple of weeks old and were taken right before I went into work one morning. This crop top is one of the best purchases I've made all summer- because it's part of a lovely two-piece with matching shorts, and it's summery and fits perfectly. I've been looking for the perfect co-ord set since last summer, so finally being able to find it was one of my prouder shopping moments.

Have a great night, everyone!

So, it took me a while to warm up to my running shoes as a style staple, but here I am, I suppose. I wore this the other day when figuring out the bus route for my new summer job in LA- initially went with the sneakers for comfort reasons, but they ended up looking pretty snazzy so I suppose a quick snap was in order.

This is a bit of a baby blog post due to the lack of photos, but when I found this one on my camera, it just seemed like the perfect time to share!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Good afternoon, lovely people! Today's post has one purpose and one purpose only: to introduce you to the most versatile pair of bottoms I have ever owned. These days, I'm all about cost-per-wear, and although I'm ashamed to admit that I spent nearly $30 for a pair of leggings (sorry, mom!), these babies have already been worn three times in the past week!

I didn't go out with the mindset to buy leggings that are more expensive than most of the jeans I own, but after dragging my poor significant other through The Grove for about two hours, I felt obligated to at least leave with happy purchases. (I'm sorry. That's a horrible way to justify my impulsive behavior.)

At any rate, beyond today's outfit, I've worn these with heeled ankle booties and a black and gold top for a party vibe, and a slouchy shirt with low boots for an airport-friendly outfit! They have yet to let me down, or expose my ass in any way, which is a lovely little perk when it comes to fast fashion leggings.

If you're looking for something that allows for comfort and can be dressed up or down, these are for you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Wow, it has been forever since I've done one of these outfit posts, and I've missed it so much! It kind of seemed like a lost cause for a while, but then I had a coffee date with my lovely former suitemate (shoutout to you, Amanda) and she was kind enough to snap a few quickies of my Starbs date look.
It finally looks/feels-ish like fall here in southern NM, and I've been enjoying integrating long sleeves into my outfits (at least until noon when it gets toasty again). I got this gem of a top on sale at Rue21 for about $3 or so- cutest thing ever- and was excited to finally get a chance to wear it.

One last item to point out- HOW AMAZING IS THIS ALDO BAG?!? Came with the tag and everything at Plato's Closet for $20 and I regret NOTHING. And alright, one last LAST thing to point out- the Rockstar skinny jeans from Old Navy are the most perfect affordable pair of skinnies in the world.

That's it for tonight, folks! Swing by on Wednesday for a compilation of my favorite Oscar de la Renta designs- I found out a few hours ago about his passing away and it shattered my heart into many pieces.

Hi, everyone!
I stand here today to bring you another abnormally short post from my new series called "It's only the 3rd day of school and Ada is already burnt out." 'Tis a series involving a lot of drama and excitement--- just kidding. What I'm really trying to say is that it involves a lot of sleep deprivation, overpriced textbooks, and mad amounts of dry shampoo.

Thanks for hanging in there with me, watching it all unfold!

Hi, everybody!

So, this outfit almost didn't happen, and I would've been so sad. Don't get me wrong, the outfit itself happened, but the pictures were a no-go to begin with. That's probably obvious from the lack of detail shots, huh? We got home from running that day's errands pretty late, and I had a total of 5 minutes or so to take photos because OneRepublic were streaming their concert on Yahoo and there was no way I was going to miss that.

My little brother did as well as he could've given the almost-sunset situation (and the frustrated sister wanting him to hurry up so she could go fangirl situation). All in all, I'm just glad I got to share it with you guys- it's one of my recent favorites, and takes me back to my super girly high school days. Nothing wrong with a little blast from the past!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi, everyone!

I'm not in much of a blurb mood today, so I'm just going to say I wore this outfit while checking out some local boutiques last week and found it to be perfectly appropriate comfort wise. Also, though it has nothing to do with it, I'm just gonna pretend it's my lucky deal finding outfit- cute accessories under $10, buy 2 get 1 free? Count me in! Don't even get me started on the $10 sandals, to be featured in an upcoming post! So great :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Disclaimer: I fully understand my party pooper status as a result of not posting a patriotic outfit for the 4th of July.

The thing is, I don't want to lie to you guys. I don't just get dressed, post on the blog, and change clothes. Everything I've ever posted has been me getting dressed up for the day- and staying that way.

I had the perfect patriotic look in mind for today- a cute blue & white striped crop top and a full, red skirt. But the truth is I'm not feeling it. I will be going out later in the day, but my outfit will be flowery and summer colored. I guess I'm doing the style blogging thing wrong, but it's just my way of maintaining my integrity- and I just wanted to share that with everyone reading!

That said, I love patriotic gear, and the red-white-blue color scheme is one of my favorites, so I'll be rocking it at the randomest of times!

Now, about the outfit I'm actually wearing- I've been eyeing this top for at least a year, and it finally went on sale at Kohl's for about $11. But here comes the happy part- I had a $10 off coupon for Kohl's and managed to get this top for less than $2 with tax!!! Is that a great deal or is that a great deal? Definitely my type of shopping experience!

Thanks for stopping by, and have the happiest, most firework-filled 4th of July!

Wow, it's been a lovely relaxing two weeks! I missed this little blog so much though! It turns out, I did have internet access during my vacation, but for some reason, staying away from the blog felt right. I guess I just want to be in the zone every time I post, and be able to fully enjoy the experience- something that cannot possibly be done when I'm 10 steps away from the beach.

But enough about the past- let's talk about the now. Because now, I'm back and, well, today, probably not better than ever. Actually, I'm feeling quite sluggish from all the traveling around. Give me a few days and I'll be back in my groove though.

These pictures were taken a while ago, before my trip, but I'm so excited to share my Mexico outfits with you all! There's even gonna be a video involved, so stay tuned for that within the next couple of weeks!

This bright, patterned DEB dress is perfect for hot summer days! For the time being, I'll leave you with that :)

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm super excited to be back in the blogging zone!
